Philosophy

The Northside Wrestling Club was founded in 1998. The purpose of the club was to give boys/girls in the Vigo County area an opportunity to learn the basic skills of wrestling before they enter high school as there is no middle school program available in this area. It is our goal to create one of the largest clubs in Indiana and produce quality wrestlers for North Vigo High School. We are committed to teaching the fundamentals of wrestling and instilling positive values to our wrestlers. We believe that through dedication, self-discipline can be taught to our youth to ensure them a chance for success on the mat and in life.

CLUB POINTS: Each wrestler will receive (1) point for each practice that they attend and (1) point for each tournament they attend in addition to points for each match they wrestle at each tournament including placement points. These points will be used at the end of the year for awards in each division Pee-Wee through Junior. Placement points in tournaments are as follows: 1st place - 6, 2nd place - 5, 3rd place - 4, 4th place - 3, 5th place - 2 and 6th place - 1. Every tournament match wrestled will result in 1 point.
